How it works

  1. Upload your video

Drop in an MP4 or MOV straight from your phone or desktop. Nothing to install, and with the free mode the audio never leaves your device.

  2. Get Roman Urdu subtitles

The speech is transcribed and written out in Roman Urdu — Urdu in Latin letters — with English words kept in English. An AI pass then tidies the spelling so it reads naturally.

  3. Style and burn them in

Adjust the font, size, colours and position, check the timing on the timeline, then render a video with the captions burned in, ready to post.

Frequently asked questions

What is Roman Urdu?

Roman Urdu is Urdu written in Latin (English) letters rather than the Urdu script — for example "aap kaise hain" instead of the Urdu-script equivalent. It is how most people type Urdu online, and it is easier to read in short-form video captions.

What are karaoke-style captions?

Each word is highlighted as it is spoken, so viewers follow along word by word. It is the caption style most short-form creators use because it holds attention while the sound is off.

Is it free?

Yes. You get three videos free on the highest-quality setting, plus a free on-device mode with no limit on how many videos you caption. Premium is $5 a month for unlimited use of the best-quality transcription, and you can cancel any time.

Does my video get uploaded anywhere?

In the free on-device mode the transcription runs entirely in your browser, so the audio never leaves your device. On the best-quality setting the audio is sent for transcription. In both cases the video itself is only ever processed in your browser.

Does it handle mixed Urdu and English?

Yes. Everyday speech mixes the two constantly, so English words are kept in their normal English spelling rather than being spelled out phonetically.

Can I edit the subtitles before rendering?

Yes. Every line is editable, and the timeline lets you split, delete, retime and nudge blocks. The preview updates live as you type, so what you see is what gets rendered.

What do I get back?

A finished video with the captions burned in, which you can save straight to your phone. You can also download a .ass subtitle file if you would rather burn the captions yourself.
